The Grail translation of the Psalms is now available in Universalis.

We have reached an agreement with the copyright holders of the Grail psalms, and they are now available in the downloadable versions of Universalis. They are not available on the web site, because the copyright holders do not permit this.

A summary of the translations used in Universalis is as follows:

Mass readings on the web site: Jerusalem Bible readings. No psalms.
Mass readings in the downloads: Jerusalem Bible readings plus Grail psalms, or New American Bible readings and psalms. The downloads contain both versions: you can use a setting in the downloaded program to choose which translation you want to use.

Liturgy of the Hours on the web site: Jerusalem Bible readings. Our translation of the psalms.

Liturgy of the Hours in the downloads: Jerusalem Bible readings. Our translation of the psalms, or the Grail psalms. The downloads contain both versions: you can use a setting in the downloaded program to choose which translation you want to use.

If you are using Universalis on the iPhone or the iPod Touch then you will receive an automatic update through the iPhone App Store. To switch between one translation and another in this version, tap on the "i" in the bottom left-hand corner of the calendar page, and then select "Settings" from the menu that appears.

If you are using any of the other downloads, please go to http://www.universalis.com/n-download.htm and select the type of computer that you are using. This will give you access to the latest download and also to the operating instructions for it. The upgrade is free and your existing registration code will continue to work.
