Bible Stories on Child Sacrifice, Unpunished Crimes and More

How Biblical narratives work and what they reveal

Yesterday, Bible History Daily (BHD) reported on the exciting discovery of evidence of ancient wine making that sheds light on Noah’s vineyard mentioned in Genesis 9. Today, BHD’s focus will expand to include the other books of the Hebrew Bible, the narratives of child sacrifice, unpunished crimes and more that the Hebrew Bible contains, and what these narratives reveal. Dr. Ziony Zevit’s Bible Stories is a seven-part lecture series on DVD that covers the most famous stories of the Hebrew Bible, examines the art of storytelling, and will have you reading the Exodus, the Ten Commandments and the Book of Ruth in a whole new way.
